About The Blog

This blog is designed to accompany a campaign started by the Sussex Women's Group. We are trying to raise awareness around the sexism that occurs in our community at Sussex (and in the wider community) on a day to day basis. By "sexism" we are referring to a diverse range of experiences: for example, it could be feeling silenced in seminars or feeling intimidated and bullied because of your gender, or it could be the experience of being made to feel sexually uncomfortable or being sexually attacked. We want to get the message out that these feelings are experienced all the time and that they are not inevitable - we don't have to stand for it. This blog is a space for the campaign to share useful information, details of where to get support, post links/events, developments in the campaign etc.
